Dr. Cox attended medical school at the University of Louisville. His residency and internship in Internal Medicine were also completed at the University of Louisville. Dr. Cox received a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Louisville, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Cox is a member of ASGE, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Dr. Cox is also a member of Who’s Who Among American Colleges and is the author of several publications pertaining to the study of gastroenterology.
